NZAEE is a national, independent voice for environmental education, empowering people to respect and nurture the environment, recognising its links with social, cultural and economic aspects of sustainability. Representing people and organisations from diverse backgrounds and sectors, we:
- Promote and support professional development and research;
- Provide a network and build relationships for sharing information and resources;
- Advocate for, and lead, education for sustainability.
It has never been a more exciting and challenging time to be an environmental educator in New Zealand and around the world. Join us as we examine the challenges and celebrate progress and successes in the Wellington region, nationally and beyond, through a diverse and fascinating array of presentations, workshops, field trips and networking opportunities.
Conference 2018 is a collaboration between NZAEE and the Wellington Region Environmental Educators' Forum (WREEF). Our conference theme is, ‘An Ecosystem for Environmental Education - He Pūnaha Hauropi mō te mātauranga a taiao’, representing the vast and interconnected network of individuals and organisations without whom our successes wouldn’t be possible. Throughout this conference, we’ll be exploring our own ecosystem and the ways we can nurture it to ensure its health for decades to come.
We look forward to seeing you there.
